Michael Gullaksen
As CEO of NP Digital Mike leads the agency’s overall strategy and vision. Mike is focused on staying true to client and employee satisfaction through the next stage of growth for NP Digital and keeping this at center of the company's culture. These values have led to NP Digital winning MediaPost's Performance Media Agency of the Year for 2021, along with being named Adweek's 2nd fastest growing large agency and placing 21st on Inc. 5000's fastest growing independent companies in the US.
Mike has been a leader, product visionary, and innovator in performance marketing for the last 20 years. Previously Mike was President of iProspect, where he and his team focused on operational excellence across client services, product innovation and technology to support agency growth. Mike joined iProspect through the acquisition of Covario where he held the position of Co-CEO. Under Mike’s watch, Covario was named the Search Agency of the Year by MediaPost a record three years in a row (2013-11). It was also ranked by Advertising Age magazine among the ten largest U.S. search agencies (and the fastest growing of the largest ones). In addition, Covario was the only independent firm selected for inclusion in the last two Forrester Research Wave reports of leading search marketing agencies, which were published in 2012 and 2011.
Prior to being CEO of Covario Mike was Senior Vice President of Search at iCrossing where he spent 9 years leading the company to Search Agency of the Year by MediaPost two times and to Forrester's top rated Search Agency. Mike has built a reputation for creating award-winning performance marketing teams, and developing proven digital strategies that drive business growth for Global 1000 clients.
Mike also served for 8 years on the Board of Directors and as President for SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) which was acquired by the Digital Analytics Association in 2020. Mike was named by BtoB Magazine in 2013 to its selective group of “Who’s Who in Search and Digital Marketing.” He was also selected by the editors of Direct Marketing News as one of the recipients of its first annual 2012 “40 under 40” awards. Mike holds a BS in Business Management from Arizona State University.
